Cancellation & Refunds

Events are strictly time-bound. Artists block their dates and Reject other offers for you. Due to this, our refund structure is strictly tiered based on notice period.

Cancellations by Client

Because our verified network commits exclusive dates to your event, partial or full refunds depend exclusively on the notice given prior to the scheduled performance:

7+ Days Before Event80% Refund*

The payment is refunded minus processing charges. The platform fee is strictly non-refundable.

3 to 7 Days Before50% Refund*

Half of the booking value must be paid to compensation the artist for lost work.

Under 72 HoursNo Refund

No refund is issued. The full payment serves as a cancellation penalty, as it is impossible for the artist to secure alternate work so close to the date.

⏱️Refund Processing: Approved refunds are processed via Cashfree and typically take 5 to 7 business days to reflect in your original payment method.

Cancellations by Artist/Vendor

Our curation team rigorously vets every artist and vendor. While extremely rare, if an artist or vendor must cancel due to a medical emergency or an act of God:

  • Option A: Rapid Replacement. Kalaqaar will immediately attempt to curate and deploy a replacement artist/vendor of equal or greater tier for your event at no additional cost.
  • Option B: Full Coverage Refund. If a suitable replacement cannot be secured or is rejected by the client, a 100% Full Refund (including the platform fee) will be immediately initiated via Cashfree.
Artists who cancel maliciously are permanently banned from the platform.

Post-Event Dispute Window

Kalaqaar schedules the final supplier payout after a 12 to 24 hour post-event review window. If you experience severe operational failures (for example, a no-show or material breach), raise a dispute through the dashboard or support channels within the applicable window. This is a contractual payment workflow and not a regulated escrow service.

Note: Subjective complaints (for example, audience preference) are not normally grounds for a refund when the supplier fulfilled the agreed deliverables.
