Legal Framework

Terms & Conditions

These Terms define the relationship between you and Kalaqaar. Please read them carefully before using our managed curation services.

1. Kalaqaar's Role

CRITICAL: Kalaqaar acts strictly as a curation and facilitation platform connecting clients with verified artists, vendors, and partners. Kalaqaar is not the direct service provider or performer. Our mandate is to curate talent, negotiate deliverables, manage secure escrow payments, and provide coordination support.

2. Fees & Payments

  • Platform Fee: Client bookings are subject to a standard 10% platform fee, plus applicable taxes.
  • Taxes: 18% GST is applicable strictly on the platform fee component, unless the specific artist/vendor is independently GST-registered and requires it on their base fee.
  • Payment Gateway: Secure routing is powered by Cashfree Payments. All payments must route through Kalaqaar to receive managed protection.
  • TDS: Standard statutory deduction (TDS) applies under Section 194C for artist/vendor payouts, depending on PAN verification status.

3. Booking Confirmation

A booking is formally confirmed only after the required advance payment is successfully processed and Kalaqaar issues an official booking confirmation. Verbal discussions, brief submissions, or curated shortlists do not guarantee talent availability or represent a confirmed booking.

4. Artist & Vendor Obligations

Once a booking is confirmed, the artist or vendor is strictly obligated to execute the deliverable. Artists must honor confirmed bookings. Last-minute cancellations without documented emergencies (Acts of God / major medical) are considered a breach of trust and will directly result in removal from Kalaqaar's verified network. Payouts are made 50% upon event completion, and 50% upon closure of the post-event dispute window (12-24 hours).

5. Limitation of Liability

While we rigorously vet our talent network and manage payment logistics, Kalaqaar cannot be held legally liable for the subjective quality of a live performance, venue-induced technical delays, or unforeseen logistical failures on the ground. However, we maintain a robust operational escalation matrix to assist in resolving on-ground issues and securing replacement talent if legally possible.
